Guaranteed Reservations, Deposits and Cancellations
All reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit or debit card Visa, Mastercard or Switch/Maestro at the time of reservation.
Making a reservation
A credit card is used to take the non refundable and non transferable deposit. The remaining balance is due in accordance to the rate selected, please see individual rates.
All reservations must be confirmed by email, post or fax (please see contact us details).
The credit card used to make payment for the reservation shall be required on check in, along with matching photographic ID. This credit card shall also be used as a guarantee against any additional charges.
In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary to cancel your booking. In this event, we shall make all reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative or refund any sum paid which shall constitute final settlement of any liability we may have to you as a result of cancellation.
We reserve the right to decline single sex group bookings.
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking is required to guarantee a booking up to 28 days before arrival. The full cost of accommodation must be settled at least 28 days prior to arrival. When a reservation is made within this period full payment must be made at the time of booking.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the room you reserve is suitable for your party. Please check before booking that the room will be suitable for you (e.g. any medical conditions, disabled access, sleeping arrangements, etc). Any changes or cancellations will be subject to the normal cancellation policy. No changes or refunds can be made on arrival and you will be liable for the full cost of accommodation booked.
Errors and Omissions accepted, details and specification may be subject to change without notice.
The guaranteeing credit card details will be taken on arrival as deposit for any damages or extra charges incurred.
Any additional guests staying in the rooms that were not notified at the time of reservation will be charged for.
We require a minimum of 28 days for cancellation. The following charges will apply if cancellations are made within 28 days prior to your arrival date:
8-27 days 25% Handling Fee
2-7 days 50% Handling Fee
25 - 47 Hours 75% Handling Fee
1-24 Hours 100% charge for the reservation
If you fail to show up and have not notified us of a cancellation then you will be charged the full cost of accommodation.
All apartments' rates are per apartment per day with no reduction for single occupancy. VAT is inclusive at 20%, this may vary and we reserve the right to pass on any supplement.
Internet rates and special offer rates
Internet rates and special offer rates displayed on our website are only valid and available when they can be booked online at www.edinburghcitypads.co.uk. Guests are offered the best available rate at the time of booking. Once accepted the daily rate cannot be altered. Rates are subject to change at the discretion of Q Mile Apartments.

The inclusion of such links is for your enjoyment of the Quarter Mile Village, its services, shops and personal recommendations.
Check in time is after 3.00pm on the date of arrival. Check out time is 11.00am on the date of departure.
There maybe room for flexibility, please contact Suzie Le Friec (Apartment Manager) on the relevant day this may also include extending or cutting short your stay.
Key fobs and door entry
The front door of the apartment is activated by a door card only, issued by Edinburgh City Pads and either sent to you, given to you on arrival or collected from the concierge.
There is one car parking space per apartment at the local rate of £15.00 per day, please make sure you specify you're parking requirements on confirmation.
There are no pets allowed (with the exception of guide dogs).
You will be responsible for all items in the room during your stay. Any damages or breakages to the room, its contents or in the common areas will be charged in full directly to the credit card details guaranteeing the booking. All sets of keys/fobs must be returned on departure. A replacement fee of £25.00 per set will be applied if they are not left at reception?? upon departure. We reserve the right to offer you an alternative room of equal or better standard within the city centre should your booked room be unavailable for some unforeseen reason or interruption at the time of your stay.
Any lost property will be held for 7 days and then be donated to charity. Return of items will be subject to a £5.00 handling fee and associated postage/packaging costs.
You are advised to have your own travel insurance to cover flight delays or cancellations, curtailment, or loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
The apartments being provided are privately owned rooms in residential areas, when entering or leaving the apartments (and whilst staying in the apartment) please do so with consideration for others and do not disturb neighbours or give any cause for complaint. If in our reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the accommodation and we will have no further responsibility toward the booking party including any travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
We cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the provision of the room or its facilities is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss due to any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
All guests' details must be advised at the time of booking and must be confirmed when checking in, including the total number of and names of the people who will be staying in the room for the duration of the proposed booking.
Guests not named on the booking or check-in form may not be permitted to stay in the apartment. You will be responsible for the acts of all guests (whether permitted or not) in the apartment during your stay.
In accordance with Scottish Law it is prohibited to smoke in the apartments, if fumigation is required of up to £500.
No booking creates a lease or tenancy and the total stay can only be from the period referred to in the booking confirmation.
Personal items are left in the apartment at the owners own risk and we will not take responsibility for any loss incurred including items placed in the safes provided in the apartments.
